The national coordinator of the CNDO in Togo, Dr Adoté Blim BLIVI visited Cotonou in Benin on the 12th and 13th September 2002. This visit was to the CNDO Centre in Benin and is evidence of the ongoing cooperation and data exchange between the two Oceanographic Centres. The staff of the CNDO in Togo travelled to the CNDO Centre in Contonou, Benin for a meeting to discuss the standardisation of methods used between the two centres. This will ensure that oceanographic data between the centres will be of the same quality and format. The Togo centre was represented by 4 members of staff: Mr Dodé JOHNSON, head of the group; Mr Pessiezoum ADJOUSSI, associate; Mme Koko HOUEDAKOR, associate; and Mme Abla KWASSI, associate. |
There are three master's dissertations currently being written with the broad topic of geomorphology, they are: L. Kokou Lolonyo AZIAKONOU Title: Morphological study of Kpalime town Etsé GATOGO Title: Study of the cliff formation along the coast of Greater Accra in Ghana |

| The CGILE welcomes on 16th September 2002, Mr Mischka Hewins for the duration of one year. He will be working on various environmental and coastal projects in Togo. His previous research has focused on coral reefs with his master's dissertation entitled "Bathymetric zonation and distribution of microborers at Inhaca Island, Mozambique". He obtained his MSc in Environmental Sedimentology and Geomorphology from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. | |||
